Safeguarding is paramount in every early years setting. All of our staff are trained in Safeguarding procedures, including how to protect children and keep them safe, how to report any concerns and how to spot the signs of various forms of abuse.

The key principles of safeguarding children include:

• Protection from abuse and maltreatment: Ensuring children are safe from harm.

• Prevention of harm: Taking steps to prevent potential harm to children's health or development.

• Provision of safe and effective care: Ensuring children grow up in a safe environment.

• Empowerment: Enabling children to have a voice and make choices.

• Partnership: Working collaboratively with families and other agencies to safeguard children.

• Accountability: Ensuring that all organizations working with children are accountable for their safeguarding practices.
